Storm Surger

The signature effects of climate change — rising seas, increased damage from storm surge, more frequent bouts of extreme heat — have specific, measurable impacts on the U.S. economy that are assessed by an economic risk assessment commissioned by the Risky Business Project. The MacArthur-supported project, led by co-chairs Michael R. Bloomberg, Henry Paulson, and Tom Steyer, focuses on quantifying and publicizing the economic risks from the impacts of climate change. A series of regional reports explore the risks specific parts of the country face, and a series of fact sheets examine risks at the state level.
