An article co-authored by Vanderbilt professor Owen Jones, the chair of the MacArthur Research Network on Law and Neuroscience, examines the proliferation of neuroscientific evidence in American courtrooms.  According to Law and Neuroscience in the United States, the number of American court cases involving neuroscientific law doubled from 2006 to 2009, a product of technological developments which allow noninvasive examinations of brain activity.
