Accomplishments of the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa, 2000-2010

This report highlights improvements in African higher education over the past decade, which stemmed from a $440 million investment by seven American foundations, including MacArthur. The Partnership for Higher Education in Africa has strengthened 65 institutions of higher education in nine countries, including Nigeria, so they can better contribute to poverty reduction, economic growth and social development on the continent.
