The Chicago Agency for Metroplitan Planning announced a $600,000 grant from MacArthur that will expand its Full Circle community mapping and planning efforts. The project develops wireless web tools to help communities identify how land parcels are being used, and how they could be used more effectively through a coordinated local planning strategy.

MacArthur is also exploring new ways to understand the challenges faced by cities around the world, and how to plan, manage, and govern to address them.
