A social media campaign aims to raise awareness about maternal mortality in disaster settings.  Designed for the United Nations Population Fund by MacArthur grantee Marketing for International Development, the social media campaign is designed to gather and share reports of safe deliveries in crises around the world, including the Philippines, Uganda, and Syria.  In such settings, one in five women is likely to be pregnant, and mothers and babies are cut off from healthcare and exposed to trauma, malnutrition, disease, and violence.
