MacArthur and Gates Foundations Support White Ribbon Alliance to Reduce Maternal Mortality

The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood (WRA) has received $4.9 million in grants from the MacArthur Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help make pregnancy and childbirth safer for women and newborns around the world.
An interactive tool developed by the Population Council provides evidence and analysis to help countries develop policies and programs that strike the right balance between demographic change and social, economic, and environmental goals. Read More
