WASHINGTON, D.C. — Population Services International and its Nigerian partner Society for Family Health are requesting support to increase availability, access and use of misoprostol for the prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) at community level in Nigeria. The project will (a) help improve acceptance of misoprostol for PPH; (b) improve health workers' knowledge and practices; and (c) produce relevant materials including job aids.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Population Services International $223,000 between 2010 and 2013.
