SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — TeamChild is a non-profit civil legal aid organization that has led Models for Change efforts to increase young people's access to trained and qualified juvenile defenders in Washington. It will use this grant to continue to build juvenile defender capacity and policy leadership, and to develop and implement a strategy to institutionalize these functions by creating a publicly-funded juvenile defender training, technical assistance, and leadership development position.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded TeamChild $145,000 between 2010 and 2013.
