SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is a convener of the Washington State Becca Task Force, which has been a key partner in the Models for Change initiative's efforts to develop and expand alternatives to the formal court processing and secure confinement of truants in Washington. It will use this grant to continue to support the Becca Task Force's statewide truancy policy reform leadership, to coordinate local truancy reform projects and research, and to diffuse innovative truancy practices.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office $90,000 between 2010 and 2013.
