The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region supports the Youth Transition Funders Group’s Juvenile Justice Work Group, which comprises regional and national grantmakers seeking to identify strategic investments that grantmakers can make to improve outcomes for youth involved in the justice system. The Work Group will use this grant to continue to serve as a vehicle for sharing information and strategies among funders, including information about those of Models for Change, MacArthur’s juvenile justice reform initiative, by promoting communication and coordination among foundations, government officials, and nonprofits; distributing resource materials; and organizing workshops and briefings on juvenile justice issues.
