A renewal grant is recommended to the Earth Institute at Columbia University, in partnership with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Millennium Village Project (MVP), to scale up the use of misoprostol to prevent postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) in hard-to-reach communities in Ghana where there is a high rate of deliveries at home, with limited skilled health personnel. In addition, the model and lessons learned will be shared with stakeholders in Nigeria.
