    KAMPALA, UGANDA — The Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA-U) was established in 1974 by a group of female lawyers with the goal of promoting the rights of women through access to justice. FIDA-U receives Foundation support to address accountability and redress for victims of sexual violence in post-conflict Northern Uganda through strategic litigation.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded Uganda Association of Women Lawyers $300,000 between 2003 and 2014.
