The Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA-U) was established in 1974 by a group of female lawyers with the goal of promoting the rights of women through access to justice. FIDA-U receives Foundation support to address accountability and redress for victims of sexual violence in post-conflict Northern Uganda through strategic litigation.
The grant provides project support to the Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA-U) in support of a project to address accountability and redress for victims of sexual violence in post-conflict Uganda within a transitional justice framework.
