CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS — The Learning Games Network, an off-shoot of the Education Arcade at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Games+Learning+Society Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is an innovative, non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gap between research and practice in game-based learning. This grant will support a two-year fellowship to examine the effect of video games on learning, and bring together leading researchers, educators, and game developers to facilitate communication and development of common definitions and methodologies that could significantly accelerate the success of games for learning.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Learning Games Network $400,000 between 2010 and 2013.
