OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA — Green for All collaborates with business, government, labor, and grassroots communities to increase high-quality jobs and opportunities in the clean energy economy for low-income Americans. Energy conservation measures that target affordable rental housing often are limited in scope and result in small financial savings. A promising solution to these challenges is an "on-bill" repayment program, the basis of which is an energy audit that details what improvements make sense given a property's condition, resident make-up, and available financing options. Green for All will use this grant to develop an energy audit protocol suitable for an on-bill repayment program.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Green For All $200,000 between 2010 and 2013.
