AHMEDABAD, INDIA — The Nehru Foundation for Development-CHETNA and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) have proposed a project that will demonstrate a model of convergence of various public programs for youth to strengthen sexual and reproductive health education and services for youth. This project located in the state of Gujarat will demonstrate a comprehensive youth health and empowerment program to increase efficiency of services, improve quality, lower costs, minimize duplication of effort, create demand for young people's health services and enhance sustainability of programs. CHETNA will be responsible for the implementation of the intervention, while PHFI will provide research inputs and evaluate the project.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded CHETNA Centre for Health Education, Training and Nutrition Awareness Nehru Foundation for Development $300,000 between 2010 and 2013.
