BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — The documentary Citizen Corp explores the aftermath of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, which created the opportunity for corporations, unions, and individuals to spend unlimited amounts in support of candidates and issues in elections. It will feature the voices of people on all sides of the debate and across the political spectrum. Combining personal stories with news footage, and interviews, Citizen Corp examines the implications of unlimited spending in the American democratic process. Citizen Corp is produced and directed by Carl Deal and Tia Lessin for Bayside Productions.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Bayside Productions $100,000 between 2010 and 2013.
