NEW YORK, NEW YORK — The Fund for Public Schools works to attract private investment in school reform in New York City and to encourage citizens' greater involvement in the City's public education. Building on the successful implementation in 2012 of NYC Summer Quest--a three-year project of the Fund, the New York City Department of Education, and the New York Department of Youth and Community Development--this grant provides continued support for 11 City schools to partner with community-based organizations to develop and carry out summer learning programs, and introduce pedagogical innovations, based on the principles of Connected Learning, into the City's public school system.
