Strengthening American Democracy
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Campaign Legal Center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2002 with prominent Republican leadership. It conducts public education, media outreach, policy consultation, and litigation. The Campaign Legal Center is a national leader in advocating for the proper enforcement of campaign finance laws, working to uphold and strengthen current campaign finance laws, and shaping the nation's policy debate about money in politics and the prevention of government corruption. The Campaign Legal Center is one of only a handful of national organizations that works around the country to bring deep campaign finance legal expertise to the states. This grant will provide general support.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Campaign Legal Center $500,000 between 2003 and 2013.
