The Alliance for Excellent Education works to improve national and state policies so that all students can graduate from high school ready to succeed in college, work, and citizenship in the 21st century. The Alliance has been an advocate for digital learning and for the Connected Learning principles that are the basis of the Foundation’s digital media and learning work. It will use this grant to educate advocates, federal and state policymakers, and practitioners nationwide interested in advancing Connected Learning; and build and disseminate a body of knowledge regarding the Internet that will support Connected Learning and other digital learning environments.

An advocate of online learning, the Alliance also focuses on the changing nature of learning and embraces the Connected Learning principles that underlie the Foundation’s digital media and learning work. This project will build a policy framework with learning as core and technology as a tool, build on growing interest in digital media and learning, and engage policymakers to support more ways for young people to succeed in school, work, and life.

The Alliance for Excellent Education works to improve national and state policies so students graduate from high school ready to succeed in college, work, and citizenship. It will use this grant to educate and motivate national and state policymakers, educators, and other decision-makers to support more opportunities for young people to engage with digital media and learning that allow for interest-driven, participatory, and hands-on learning experiences, the underpinnings of the Foundation’s digital media and learning work.
