The grant to the International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS) will support the fourth round of a nationally-representative, household-based survey, designed to provide data on a wide variety of population and health topics, including estimates of fertility, family planning, infant and child mortality, school attendance, reproductive and child health, antenatal and post-partum care, nutrition, age of first marriage and first pregnancy. The National Health and Family Survey will be conducted under the stewardship of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and will be funded by the Government of India and a consortium of donors.
