CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — The Center for Tax and Budget Accountability identifies, develops, and introduces into the public debate nonpartisan, data-driven analysis and equitable public policy recommendations that will improve the fiscal health of Illinois and other states. The Center will use this grant to develop the Illinois Budget Tool, an online budget-modeling tool that will allow citizens to explore and understand the Illinois state budget and the challenges of bringing it into balance; and to help facilitate the exchange of ideas among voters, elected officials, and public interest groups.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Center for Tax and Budget Accountability $175,000 between 2010 and 2013.
