A four part series that examines the role of the UN.

In 1995, the 50th anniversary of the United Nations received broad coverage in the media and held the attention of those active in global education. To mark the occasion, the One World Group of Broadcasters, the International Broadcasting Trust (IBT), the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Corporation (UR), the Dutch Educational Broadcasting Company (TELEAC) and Danmarks Radio joined together and co-produced a series of fifty-minute programmes under the general title Under the Blue Flag. The four films included in the series cover the themes of peacemaking, humanitarian responses and development, as well as the power and reform of the organisation itself.
